Gillett Location

Legacy Funeral Chapel rolled out a fresh identity in 2017 when it unveiled a new name for one of Gillett’s oldest businesses. Kuehl Funeral Home, a Gillett business serving families since 1907, was renamed Legacy Funeral Chapel in February 2017.

It was a bittersweet change because of the imprint Kuehl Funeral Home has made in the Gillett community. Three generations of the Kuehl family managed the funeral home, ending in 1997 when Armin Kuehl sold the business.

Various funeral directors have managed the funeral home since, with James Beaton coming on board at Kuehl Funeral Home in January 2016. James now operates two funeral homes under the umbrella of Legacy Funeral Chapels, at 108 E. Main St., Gillett, and 838 S. Fisk St., Green Bay.

Although the name has changed, the commitment to families remains the same: to provide personalized funeral services to those who are grieving. Legacy Funeral Chapel in downtown Gillett provides a clean and welcoming atmosphere where people can gather to remember a loved one in a traditional and peaceful setting. Families are encouraged to create a send-off that is unique and meaningful, whether with traditional hymns, prayers and a formal remembrance service or a more casual gathering, with a time to mingle and share stories.

Located on Highway 22 in Downtown Gillett, Legacy Funeral Chapel is conveniently located for Oconto, Brown, and Shawano County families.  With compassion and care, Legacy serves the cities and towns surrounding Gillett including Abrams, Little Suamico, Pulaski, Krakow, Green Valley, Morgan, Suring, Spruce, Oconto Falls, Hintz, Breed, Lena, and Green Valley.

The staff of Legacy Funeral Chapel believes every person’s life is unique, and every person deserves a personalized farewell.
