Legacy Funeral Chapels announces its new partnership with Abrams Spotlight Productions Inc. Memorial services and funerals are now available in southern Oconto County at the Byng Community Theater, 5852 Maple St., Abrams. The staff of Legacy Funeral Chapels will handle the funeral arrangements, and ASPI will provide the venue.
In today’s world, it’s no longer necessary to go to a funeral home for a memorial service. Other options, like this venue in Abrams, are available. The funeral homes nearest to Abrams are in Oconto, Oconto Falls, and Pulaski. Now, residents of Abrams now have a convenient funeral setting in their community, also.
Formerly used as a church, the Byng Community Theater has the ambiance of peace and spirituality. The stained-glass windows are reminders of the church’s Catholic origins. Today, people of all faiths or no faith at all are invited to gather there to say farewell. The Abrams theater facility fills the gap for people who don’t belong to a church but want a church setting for the funeral or memorial service of a loved one.
The community theater welcomes the opportunity to open its doors to people in the area. The theater staff recently completed several improvements, inside and out.
The Abrams theater is versatile enough to host live entertainment, as well as weddings and funerals. In 2018, the Byng Community Theater hosted a wedding, in addition to its four community theater shows. The theater offers a beautiful setting and abundant space to accommodate a variety of community gatherings.
The parking lot, resurfaced and striped in 2018, offers ample, off-street parking close to the theater entrance. Comfortable chairs replaced the church pews. The chairs are easy to move to accommodate up to 150 guests. Catering options are available, allowing for a full memorial service, socializing, and meal all under one roof.
This new venue offers a nontraditional setting for the send-off of a loved one. Legacy Funeral Chapels has long believed that people shouldn’t be tied to traditions that have lost their meaning. James Beaton and the Legacy staff are committed to creating personalized funeral services that truly reflect the family’s wishes.
The theater provides a new setting for a dignified and thoughtful service that honors the deceased and helps family and friends find peace.
